Self-reminder

Often times, when we get so carried away with what Allah has given us, we forget that at any moment in our lives, He may take it away from us.

In Surah Ar-Rahman, Allah mentioned,
"So which of the favors of your Lord are you going to deny?"

This very verse was repeated for several times, again and again in Surah Ar-Rahman. And for what reason?

Because this verse shows us just how easy it is for us to get carried away.
We forget to remind ourselves that even the tiniest thing we have is a gift from Allah.

An akhwat mentioned this once,
"Why don't you give it a little thought. Imagine if our one of our fingers, let's say our thumb is taken away. Maybe it's paralyzed, maybe it stopped functioning but let's imagine it no longer works as a thumb. By then, only by then, we would be thankful for having a thumb."

Hlovate mentioned in one of her books,
"You'll never miss the water till the well runs dry."

Similarly,
"You'll never know how much you love something until it's gone."

If you do not thank something that you have now, you'll never know its value until it's gone.

For every breath, every smile, every joy, every tear, every test.
Thank Allah for each and every one of it. The tests come because Allah yearns to hear you appeal to Him as His servants. The tests come because He wants you to be reminded that not one single thing could happen if it is not by His will. The tests come so that you realize that you are Allah's slave. To remind you to always be thankful for everything that you have.

It takes a whole lot of istiqamah, determination and perseverance to keep on going and become a servant of Allah worthy of entering Jannah.

But it could only take a blink of an eye to do something in which Allah would not be pleased of.

Your journey into entering Jannah may not be easy, but be brave, be strong, stay optimistic and keep the smile on your face, Allah has always been there with you all they way.

Ask for strength. Ask for forgiveness. Ask for sincerity.
Ask for the path of your journey to be eased.

Allah, you know what's within our hearts. You know our pain, you know our sacrifices.
We seek forgiveness from all of the things that we have done wrong. We ask for strength from You, because truly, You are Al-Qawiyy. We ask that You strengthen our faith and that we would always be guided to the truth. Lead us to the straight path.

We are Allah's servants. Truly, we are weak and our strengths have always come from Allah.

So thank Him, because in time you'll see that He's leading you to the best path where your mind could possibly imagine. Alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah. All praise to Allah.
